Where's Mission Beach?

Mission Beach is a one and a half hour drive south from Cairns International & Domestic Airports, and a two hour drive north from Townsville Airport.

Turning off the Bruce Highway at either Tully or El Arish, a scenic 20 minute drive will have you right in the middle of paradise. You can self drive, hire, come by coach or train, arrange a private transfer, or use the Mission Beach Connection Shuttle.

Taking its name from the aboriginal mission established in 1912, Mission Beach comprises some half dozen communities stretching north from Tam O'Shanter Point through South Mission, Wongaling, Mission Beach village and Clump Point, to Bingil Bay. At Tam O'Shanter Point a cairn commemorates the ill fated Cape York expedition of explorer Edmund Kennedy 150 years ago.

It was a great property in a great spot. Worked well for two families and the kids, they had a ball. Being right on the beach and close to the local village was great... It was a wonderful experience.
