We’re located in the Lorne Hinterland, with ideal access to all that the Great Ocean Road and the hinterland offers, yet away from the crowded tourist towns of the surf coast.

Our four uniquely themed cottages are surrounded by bushland, providing privacy to all guests - except for the occasional kangaroo visit. Relax and enjoy with the security of knowing that your host lives on-site and is available for any advice or assistance to make your visit perfect.

All cottages are fully self-contained with every attention to detail. Kitchens are very well equipped with microwaves and full sized ovens and fridges. You will find all the little extras here - fabulous herbal teas, coffee plungers, iron and ironing board, hairdryers - just to name a few.

Breathe in the fresh air and absorb the peaceful bush setting; sit back with a good book, soft music and a glass of wine. Relax by the wood fire, on the verandah or around your own private winter campfire. Don't forget the marshmallows!

Wander the bush tracks on the property or hop over the stile to gain access to the fabulous Otway Forest Park (previously Angahook State Park).

Perhaps a Pamper Package would tempt you - luscious fluffy robes, gourmet treats and champers on arrival and a one hour in-house massage - only $110 pp.

We’re delighted to have you stay and will welcome you on arrival with home-made treats.

Your dogs are very welcome at Countrywide - they will love the bush tracks, a cool swim in the dam and the home made doggie- treats that welcome them on arrival too!

Try your luck at catching some yabbies in our fully stocked dam. You may even catch enough for dinner.

Come and meet Sam and Norman, our very shy but delightful aplacas. We have a bundle of sheep and sometimes a hand- reared lamb or two, as well as our cute lop-eared bunnies for children to play with. Our chickens will do their best to keep up the egg supply to ensure you enjoy a taste of their wonderful free range lifestyle - eggs are ‘finders keepers’.

Check out the recreation area with a pool table and dart board in the "pub" and a gas BBQ undercover in the "saddlery" next door. There’s plenty of room to kick the footy or bowl a few overs.

Countrywide Cottages are close to superb wineries, excellent cafes, berry farms and of course the Great Ocean Road, the Otway Fly, beaches, waterfalls and picnic spots. With lots of great day trips to choose from, it’s an excellent place to stay and far enough away from the tourist crowds to be an authentic, tranquil Australian bush experience. Fabulous!
