the docklands are a relatively new development in melbourne. it is a great real estate development area sporting high rise apartments that look over the city. a very quaint and exciting place for outings or residential purposes

Docklands is getting better and better. Telstra Dome is there - The MCG\'s rival!. There are fabulous restaurants there too - Mecca Bah is one of my fave restaurants in Melbs.

Visit the National Gallery, get a water taxi or the free Circle Tram to Docklands, ebjoy the boat harbour and spend time walking around the docks and end up having drinks and eats at one of the many unique restaurants. Great place to hang out or take overseas visitors for a glimpse of a new area of Melbourne.

A great base for anyone staying in Melbourne- easy access to the city or surrounding suburbs. Great restaurants/night life and city views.

Having friends in Melb makes it easy to come back time and time again. Only minutes away from the city, Telstra Dome or a short trip by Water Taxi or Tram to Crown Casino, the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and Federation Square, this area is still developing and growing.

Vibrant and young. Great views of the harbour, especially a good place to be on New Year\'s eve to see the fireworks. Good restaurants. Try the tappas at the Mecca Bar

Unique environment created by the waterfront and the backdrop of the City. It is really beautiful after dark! The public art of Docklands is \"open\" 24 hours.

Docklands is a suburb at the edge of the Melbourne CBD. It used to be the old Dock Yards of Melbourne. It has now been transformed into this wonderful waterfront suburb. There are wonderful restaurant and many apartment complexes. Go for a stroll, glass of wine or some food.

Docklands is still a work in progress as new offices and apartments are being built. Here is also Melbourne\'s 2nd football stadium in Telstra Dome. It\'s close to Southern Cross Station.

A great waterfront area in the middle of the city. Still being built up, the City of Melbourne takes over the area early next year and it is bound to improve on it even further. Excellent restaurants and two great bars, Fix and the Beach Club that have great balconies and will look over the area where the Moonlight Cinema will start later this month.
