Been to Dubbo a couple of times, mostly as a stopover to bigger and better places. The western plains zoo here is magnificant. I went on an overnight safari and short of going to Africa, it was the best ever!

A great place to visit is the Western Plains Zoo. Great animals and scenery. You need to spend the whole day there though as it is a massive place to explore.

Great town to visit, lots to see and do, including the zoo, old Dubbo gaol plus good shopping and a lovely riverside picnic area. Worth the drive.

The zoo it the main drawcard, but the town offers more. Explore to find small fun places

The main attraction is the zoo which is marketed as a safari wildlife park. Really loved it although it was smaller than we expected. It\'s along drive ut nice for a change with plenty of palces to stay in town.

The Western Plains Zoo is outstanding mainly for it\'s space it gives to the animals rather than the penthouse at Taronga Zoo. The other thing to do is the Old Dubbo Gaol.

A big country town with some good pubs if you like country pubs, but be careful which ones you go into. The Zoo is always a great day to spend with the kids - but is hot so take hats & suncream
